There are many sites on the Internet that will give a driver five or six cheap auto insurance quotes. These services are free to use. It is not advisable, however, to purchase any auto insurance policy over the Internet, as the driver can easily misunderstand the terms of the policy.
ASK FOR DISCOUNTS
Once a driver has found a company she is interested in, she should make an appointment to see an agent. During the meeting, she should not only clarify the terms of the policy, but also ask about discounts. Typical discounts include reduced rates for a clean driving record or for carrying multiple types of insurance through the same company.
