The short answer is, there is no way to know who is going to be cheapest just by comparing companies directly. The best way to get cheap auto insurance is get a lot of quotes from various insurance companies. If the driver is in a hurry and does not have time to go to each individual agent's office or each insurance company's website, there are services available online that will compare insurance rates from various companies. Even with comparison websites, it may be wise to use a few different ones because often they query different insurance companies.
What if the Driver Has Some Time?
These services are great even if the driver has plenty of time to find cheap auto insurance as some insurance companies offer a lower price through comparison services than they do either over the phone, or on their own website. After all, once you are on their website or talking to their customer service rep, they know they have your attention. While viewing a comparison website, however, they need to do something to stand out, and money talks to those looking to save it.
Some Companies Are Not On The Comparison Sites
Not every company out there will be listed and compared on the comparison sites. Though they are an excellent tool for finding cheap auto insurance quickly, they should not be used exclusively unless absolutely necessary.
