How much does your teen pay for car insurance?

When a teenager first gets behind the wheel of a vehicle they don’t worry about the big things. It is all about the little things to them. How good are the speakers? How fast can I go? Where is the cup holder? How many people can I fit in this vehicle? They don’t worry about the things that actually matter. How much will gas cost? How much is car insurance going to cost? How will I pay for these things?
The real answers to all of these questions can be answered with a simple call to your local insurance company or you can go with a new way to do it. Some teenagers might have to pay up to three hundred dollars or more in auto insurance just for them alone and that’s not counting other family members that might also be on the insurance (like parents for instance).
Car insurance is very expensive for a teenager but they can save a lot of money by doing a couple of things and worrying less about the little things. If most teenagers quit bothering with having tons of people in the car they would be less distracted and this would lower their premiums because they are a lot less likely to get into a car accident and damage themselves or the car. Plus the friends and family around them wouldn’t get hurt because they wouldn’t be in the car to begin with.
Another way they could save themselves some cash in the long run is to not drive at night. There is proven studies done by the NHTSA that at least 27 percent of teenage accidents happen at night. The risks are much lower for new drivers if they learn how to drive in the daylight where they can see and function, the best.
Now one of the biggest dangers on the road today that has put teens’ insurance rates so high in this day and age is the cell phone. It is because of this device that so many teenagers have hurt themselves in accidents and other stupid things. All because they can’t wait till the car comes to a full parked position to tell their best friend hello by text message.
With a few simple things a teens’ car insurance can go from expensive to almost a normal rate. No matter what a teens quote for insurance will be high but there are ways to let it sting a little bit less.
